EVERYONE IS DEAD...?
A downloadable Radioactive puzzler for Windows
The world has been buried by nuclear war. You're the last person left alive. OR ARE YOU?
Trace a mysterious cry for help back to its source through ten sectors of irradiated underground ruins - but be careful! Take no more than 20 steps in each sector or you'll have to restart. Otherwise, take too long and you'll die of radiation poisoning. Yikes!
There's no combat and the only environmental hazard are anomalies - they won't kill you if you touch one but they'll definitely do SOMETHING. Also, the game has TWO ENDINGS! And a SECRET BIRTHDAY CAKE!
Made for https://itch.io/jam/puzzlejam - the theme was 'Black and White' so I was totally original and made something in black and white. But also green and purple.
----------
The only thing I forgot to add to the credits in-game is that the background art and 'rubble' were all made from 'Monochrome Caves', a free asset from Adam Saltsman [https://adamatomic.itch.io/]. Cheers!

Hey! Wasn't able to play your game on stream because it halts my machine for some reason. Might be related to multiple monitors or Windows scaling (disabling both fixed the problem).
Feedback: The move and restarts counter is super tiny and hard to notice. We really only need a giant unlabeled number to tell us how many moves are left.
We should be able to restart at any time, because we might see early that we've already failed.
If we get to the end of the level in exactly 20 moves, the restart text sticks out from under the next level text box.
I don't know how I feel about the overall time limit. It adds a sense of urgency, but the move limit seems to be enough. Could vary the move limit in different levels to change the difficulty over time. All of the levels seemed very similar on the difficulty scale, and the time limit was a constant irritation not being able to look at the level before leaping into movement.
Super creepy music and a nice minimal visual presentation. Movement sound was present but not too obnoxious, maybe could be slightly more buried in the mix.
Really hope you figure out the machine halting thing! Might have something to do with exclusive fullscreen, so starting windowed and having fullscreen as a toggle could help next time.
Thanks for your entry!
